The internal medicine simulation training room is equipped with a dummy torso of a patient for auscultation of various pathologies of the respiratory system and the heart. The instructor can set one of the heart or lung conditions using remote control. Students can listen to a number of different tones and sounds, including those they might not encounter as frequently in clinical practice. The room also contains a manikin simulating cardiac arrhythmias and fitted with a cardiac monitoring device, and which enables the instructor to remotely manage and modify heart rhythms. The room is also equipped with an electrocardiograph giving the students an opportunity to take an ECG in real time on student-volunteers. Other simulators model various pathologies of the retina and the ear with the possibility of diagnosing these disorders using modern ophthalmoscope and otoscope.
